We are pleased to announce that our theme for Summ

We are pleased to announce that our theme for Summer Camp 2023 is "Strangers in the World," based on 1 Peter 2:9-11:

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.”

This summer, we will study the message of 1 Peter and discover what the apostle Peter had to say to first-century Christians when the whole world seemed to be against them. We will explore what it means to apply this same message to our lives in our everchanging, modern-day culture. We will understand that, just as 1 Peter 2:9-11 tells us, we are God’s chosen people who have now become “Strangers in the World.” We will learn what it means for them to be called out of the world while being commissioned to set an example in the world. We will be challenged to follow the example of Jesus no matter the cost, because we rest assured that this world is not our home.
