Nathan Ewing, Adventure Program Supervisor
Nathan started in full time ministry at IdRaHaJe on September 1, 2018. Camps always had a big impact on his life from when he was young, and IdRaHaJe was perfectly positioned to not only minister and show the love of Christ to kids daily but also use God’s creation as a big avenue to show His power and creativity- areas that were important to Nathan.
He started his journey at IdRaHaJe in 2016 on Adventure Staff (the program he now oversees) and fell in love with not only the specific ministry he was doing but also the outdoors in general. Prior to his time at camp, he liked the outdoors but backpacking, rock climbing, and mountain biking were not things he had done before. After two summers on adventure staff, he felt the Lord leading him to take part in the first year of the IdRaHaJe Christian Camping Internship, through which he grew tremendously and developed meaningful and lasting relationships with fellow interns as well as full time staff. Following the conclusion of his internship and serving as the SaLT assistant for the summer, he pursued a position on full time staff. The Lord has truly grown him in his time overseeing the adventure program at IdRaHaJe. He married his wife, Marissa, in September of 2021 who was at the time the Head Nurse at Camp. Nathan enjoys all manner of activity including, but not limited to, rock climbing, volleyball, mountain biking, golf, and backpacking.
