History of the Mtn Lab Program
In 1984, Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je saw the opportunity to minister to Christian schools through an outdoor education program offered from a biblical perspective. This brought about the formation of the “Mountain Lab School”.
In 1988, the Camp Board of Directors expanded the program by offering it to public, private and charter schools, believing that all students should be able to learn aobut God’s creation in an outdoor setting.
With only a few schools and limited classes to offer, the Mountain Lab School Program continued to reach further and grow.
Today we have apporximatly 60 schools involved bringing over 2,600 students each school year. We now have 30 classes to offer that are all instructor lead!
