CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Chief Financial Officer will guide the financial direction of alternatives under the direction of the Board of directors and the CEO. They will develop and prescribe adequate financial procedures and controls to ensure compliance with established policy and generally accepted accounting practices. The CFO will develop the budgets for each organization and will be an important part of our managing team, and supervisor of finance, bookkeeping, and data processing staff. This person will report to the CEO.

COMPUTER ADMINISTRATOR

I. QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must have computer skills, which include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Filemaker Pro, Microsoft NT Server (CT only) or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of computer maintenance, repair, upgrading and troubleshooting.
  3. Gift of Administration.

II. RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director

III. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all office computers.
  • Set up all office e-mail accesses.
  • Set up all e-mail accounts for staff.
  • Maintain e-mail program.
  • Maintain web page information if not managed off site.
  • Oversee all computer and network maintenance.
  • Oversee computer programming.
  • Purchase all necessary software and hardware.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

I. OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Operations Director is a role vital to the continued success of Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je. The function of the Operations Director position is to supervise the operation of the following department heads and their departments:

  • Food Service Supervisor
  • Maintenance Supervisor
  • Adventure Program Supervisor
  • Housekeeping Supervisor
  • General Store Supervisor
  • Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor
  • Building Supervisor
  • Volunteer Coordinator

This position will support the goal of increasing the excellence of operational efficiency and help the Executive Director facilitate, encourage, communicate and cooperate with the above department heads in order to accomplish the goals and missions of Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je.

II. RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A four-year college degree is required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  2. Five years of administrative and/or supervisory experience, preferably in Christian camping with the ability to teach and train.
  3. Have the spiritual gift of administration.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills and be highly motivated.
  5. Strong organizational, leadership and management skills.

IV. ATTITUDE DESIRED:

  • Must have servant spirit, which encompasses an attitude of “can do” and “will do” whatever it takes to make Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je successful.
  • Must have a willingness to be under the authority of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
  • If married, should have the cooperative assistance and support of their spouse.
  • Must place their personal relationship with Christ above all other relationships.
  • Must have a visionary attitude.

V. COMMITMENT:

The candidate must be willing to commit to a minimum of five years to the position and be willing to raise his support for living expenses.

VI. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je.
  • Always make guest and camper needs your number one priority.
  • Maintain continual supervision and development of your staff.
  • Facilitate bi-annual performance reviews of your staff.
  • Develop good relationships with campers, staff and parents. Look for opportunities to pray and minister to these people.
  • Plan out a budget for your area of responsibility.
  • Make safety a way of life. Eliminate any and all hazards to our guests, staff and properties. Train our staff to assist you.
  • Practice and promote energy conservation.
  • Meet daily with staff for devotions and prayer.
  • Meet weekly to make plans with your departmental leaders.
  • Meet weekly with Executive Director.
  • Attend monthly board meetings.
  • Submit yearly goals and annual support goals.
  • Assist the Executive Director in administrative duties.
  • Hire all vacancies under your responsibility with the Executive Director’s approval.
  • Help with the planning and execution of construction projects.
  • Assist in recruiting, training and supervising the summer staff.
  • Oversee the Sunday registration activities during the summer.
  • Assist with the development, marketing/promotion and evaluation of Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je’s programs.
  • Represent the Executive Director in meetings and committee meetings as assigned.
  • Participate in camp activities to the extent necessary for proper awareness and supervisory functions.
  • Supervise procedures, routines and practices for camp operation.
  • Act on behalf of the Executive Director in his absence, as Officer in Charge.
  • Maintain a CDL license and drive bus as necessary.
  • Actively attend a local church.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

GUEST GROUP COORDINATOR

I. QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must be organized and have excellent follow-up skills
  2. Experience in hospitality and/or public relations
  3. Possess gift of hospitality and servant’s spirit
  4. Skills in administration and customer service

II. RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Director

III. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote facilities through monthly mailings, contacts with church pastors or retreat coordinators, follow-up contacts with past rental groups and participation in conventions and/or exhibits
  • Book church and Christian organization groups
  • Keep accurate & timely records in schedule book
  • Provide age, group size and number of meals to Food Service Supervisor. Inquire about any food allergies, preferences or special diets. Also provide the Food Service Supervisor with a copy of the group’s schedule one week prior to their arrival
  • Obtain final group count the Monday before arrival
  • Schedule staff hosts for rental groups
  • Provide staff hosts with rental group information sheet, payment due bill and rental group schedule
  • Keep Camp brochures & tracts in brochure holders in all facilities
  • Assist in Mountain Lab program
  • Coordinate group adventure activities with Adventure Program Supervisor & provide schedule at least 2 weeks prior to group arrival
  • Maintain appropriate and timely communication with groups
  • Other duties as assigned
